『合田佐和子 光へ向かう旅』出版記念展
会期：2017年8月5日（土）〜8月20日（日） 12時〜19時 月曜・火曜休
平凡社・コロナブックスより作品集『合田佐和子 光へ向かう旅』が出版されるのを記念し、所収作品を含む約20点を展示いたします。
合田佐和子は、アートという枠に留まらず、さらに広くカルチャーシーンの中で自由に活動し、60年代のガラクタのオブジェに始まる作品群、70年代のシュールな油彩、80年代の写真作品、90年代の光あふれる油彩、そして、数々の舞台・映画美術、は、常に見るものを驚かせ、刺激し続け、色褪せることがありません。
この作品集と展示をテキストに、合田佐和子という稀代のマルチアーティストを見直していただければと存じます。

The exhibition in commemoration of
"Sawako Goda - A Trip Towards the Light" publishing

In commemoration of the publication of “Sawako Goda Hikari e Mukau Tabi” (trans: Sawako Goda - A Trip Towards the Light), Heibonsha and Corona Books present an exhibition of approximately 20 works including some works featured in the book.
Not to be confined to the limits of what is considered “art”, Sawako
Goda worked actively and freely in the culture-changing circles. She made
junk objects in the 60s, surrealistic oil paintings in the 70s, challenged
photography in the 80s, worked with the expression of light in oil paintings
in the 90s, while also producing art for stage and motion pictures. Her
works continue to surprise and stimulate in a timeless style which will
not fade away.
We feel that the text of the published collection in conjunction with the
exhibition of works will allow the reader to be reintroduced to the extraordinary
multi-artist Sawako Goda.
