小野隆生展

小野隆生は、1971年以降イタリアに在住し、制作を続ける画家。
国立ローマ中央修復研究所の絵画科を卒業。
1985年までイタリア各地の美術館所蔵絵画作品と教会の壁画の修復にも携わる。
小野の絵画は実在する人間が描かれる肖像画とは異なり、画家の感性で任意に描出された人物画といえる。それに対して帽子や靴、そして衣服だけが単一のモチーフとして描かれる奇妙な静物画に於いては人間の不在が投影された不気味な喪失感が暗示される。
今回の企画では当ギャラリーとコレクターの小泉清氏が所蔵する1970〜90年代に制作された作品を中心に展示します。

TAKAO ONO Exhibition

Takao Ono (born in Iwate Prefecture in 1950) moved to Italy in 1971 at
the age of 20 and learned classical techniques by studying restoration
techniques. Presented works by Tempera backed by classical techniques while
working on repairing the church murals including the Basilica of San Francesco
in Assisi and the collections of museum in Italy. After 1985 he concentrate
on his work.
There are no specific models in his outstanding portrait works, he created them. But they leave a strong impression on the viewer. Still lives such as umbrellas and shoes other than people are also depicted as the part of portraits for him who is deeply concerned with things.
In this exhibition, in addition to the gallery collection, borrow the collection of Mr. K who is the biggest collector of Ono work and exhibit the work from the 1970's to 90's.
